McFarland's FLOATEL 2010 RATES
ACCOMMODATIONS

Deluxe Log Cabin:  880 sq ft, fully furnished two bedrooms, living room, complete kitchen and bathroom, towels,
linens, pots & pans, dishes and silverware.  There are no televisions or telephones but we do have free wireless
service and a coin operated laundry.
Rates:  $295 per night Up to four persons
    Up to 2 additional people $65 per person
    (Maximum 6 per cabin - No exceptions)



SELF-GUIDED EXPLORING

Boat Rentals:  Take yourself on a beach combing or fishing trip in a dealer maintained 15 foot aluminum Gregor Boat
with a 15 hp Johnson outboard motor. The rental price includes the boat, motor, tank of gas, gaff hook, salmon net,
and safety equipment. MAXIMUM 3 PERSONS PER SKIFF.  Fishing gear is not included in the fee. In our store
'Baskets & Bullets' we carry bait & lures used in this area. We rent saltwater poles suitable for Salmon & Halibut at $5
per day. If you are stream fishing you will need to bring your own spinning rod & reel.
Rates: $100 per day with cabin rental
           $115 per day without cabin rental




Low Tide Adventure: You can go clam digging, crabbing, and netting sea cucumbers or look for marine life with us
in an open boat suitable for beach combing.  Let us know what your interests are and we will tell you what is available.
Rates: $80   (6 persons maximum)  The Tour is 2 hours long.

Car Rental:  Prince of Wales Island has numerous streams and rivers for self-guided fishing trips.  Over 2,000 miles
of paved and improved gravel roads connect Thorne Bay with many of the rivers.  We have a 6 passenger Suburban
available for rental.
Rates: $100 per day plus gas, with cabin rental No mileage fee.
           $115 per day plus gas, without cabin rental No mileage fee

Just Relax:  Do you have a spouse or friend who doesn't fish or hunt?  Bring them along to just beach comb or relax
at McFarland's FLOATEL.  No charge for the scenic view from the big picture windows in your cabin.  For visitors
looking for an opportunity to learn the coiling method of basketry, Instructions in Pine Needle Raffia Basketry are
available.  Students pay only $35 for the instructions & materials while they are staying with us.

Dinner at The FLOATEL:  "The Seafood Extravaganza".  Join us for dinner and learn how to prepare your "catch of
the day".  Fare may include salmon, crab, clams, halibut, rock cod, sea cucumbers or shrimp BY ADVANCED
RESERVATION ONLY. Available only one time per group per visit.  
Rates: $35.00 per person

                      THE WOLF LODGE       RETREATS - MEETINGS - WORKSHOPS - WEDDINGS - RECEPTIONS

The WOLF LODGE has a large meeting room with a kitchen and restroom. It is available for rental by guests staying at the FLOATEL or outside groups.
Upstairs the Executive Suite is available for participants in the activity in the conference room.  Contact us for details on the facility and how it could be
used for your group.  
Rates: Conference Room & Kitchen
 $260 for 1 day rental,    
$225 per day 2 or 3 day rental,
$210 per day 4 day rental.
Executive Suite for 1 or 2 people - $185 a day, 3rd or 4th person - $65 each (4 people max)
 
FLOAT PLANE TRANSPORTATION

Round trip transportation to the FLOATEL from Ketchikan is arranged by us with a float plane service.  
Our special rate gets you to the FLOATEL dock and  includes up to 40 lbs. baggage per person.  On your
return trip you will also be allowed two 50# fish boxes at no additional charge.

Please limit your luggage to a minimum for a smoother trip to our “wilderness” location. Excess baggage
rate is 57¢ a pound. If you bring ice chests, they will charge a flat rate of $45.00 each in addition to your
quoted fair.  Ice chests are harder to deal with as freight and the float plane service would prefer you
bring your extras in fish boxes or other bags.  If you do bring ice chests, they should NOT be larger than
the 54 quarts size.  Extra large bags are difficult to load and may not travel with you and would need to
be delivered later.  
Rates: $260 per person round trip with 40# of gear.
                              NOTE: This rate is subject to change by the float plane service.

PAYMENT PLAN
A 40% deposit required to confirm a reservation at the FLOATEL. The deposit is due within 10 days of the initial
booking. The full fee is due 90 days before your arrival.
Rates DO NOT include; alcoholic beverage or groceries. Fishing & Hunting licenses as well as some snacks are
available at the FLOATEL in our store Baskets & Bullets.  Alcoholic beverages and groceries may be purchased in
the town of Thorne Bay, two miles by water from the FLOATEL.

REFUND POLICY
A 5% cancellation fee will be charged on any fees paid. The balance of the fees will be refunded as follows:
September through May Cancellation:   90 days in advance - Full Refund
                                                                    90 to 30 days of reservation - 50% Refund
                                                                    Less than 30 days in advance - No Refund
June - July - August  Cancellation: 90 days in advance - Full Refund
                                                            After 90 days in Advance - No Refund

INSURANCE
We take every precaution to make your stay with us a safe enjoyable one. For your own protection we suggest you
carry your own travel insurance while you are our guest. The rising cost of accident insurance does not allow us to
cover you while you are visiting us.
